Hatchit & Catchit McMorbidly
#H3 in My Macabre McMorbidly Family Portrait Series
The youngest of Squire Drummel and Lady Hopelyss’ (RIP) children. H & C were so close that they were of a single demented mind. They spoke their own language and never directly to others. They were expert hunters, trappers, and skinners by the age of two. This twosome converted their double high chair into a table of torture for the toy animals that they “captured” from the homes of the children of Perilous Downs. The only “stuffed” animals safe were the taxidermied pets of older sister Snarlette. The twins gave her room a wide birth. It was written that these miscreants had the most punchable faces of any childhood bully in town. After seeing this moldy old photo I would concur.
The McMorbidly Family Portraits were discovered in a battered and moldy sealed trunk, which had somehow wound up below the root system of a huge black tree on the grounds of McMorbidly Manor (Now in Ruins). With each photo was a mysterious description written in jittery script by persons unknown. The portraits and paper were dated back to the mid to late 1800's. Who was the artist/photographer? How had history forgotten such an infamous and lengthy family legacy? We may never know but pay close attention as each family member and their stories from all their past generations are revealed!
